It is a small hotel (30 beds) situated in a former Basilian nuns convent, also called PALAZZETTO "DELLA MONACA" dating back to the  XV - XVII centuries, renovated to provide comfortable accommodation. Borgoterra is located in  Martano in the historic core of the town, in the heart of the Grecia Salentina, just minutes from Otranto, Gallipoli and Lecce, in a charming place full of traditions and major events ( Notte della TARANTA, local festivals, fairs and food and wine events).

Martano is a town of about ten thousand inhabitants, located in an important road that connect it to Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli. Martano, until the second half of the sixteenth century, was surrounded by mighty walls, as can be seen by the grandeur of the tower merged with Casa Mazzotti,  the only remaining tower  of the several that were standing on the city's wall,  which started from the Aragonese castle and surrounded the village up to the Castle, where currently the clock tower stands. The Grecia Salentina is located in the heart of Salento, between Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli. This is wherethe the history of nine Salento towns has been intertwined over time around a common element: the Greek language, with its rites of Greek origin. All this embraced by the sun, surrounded by countless olive trees, and welcomed by the hospitality of the locals.

The apartments and the whole house is absolutely charming! Lovely historical building, marvellous rooms with vaulted ceilings equipped that you fell you´re in a fairy tale.The owner, Dina, is a very nice person willing to make your stay unforgetable.

Wow - what a fantastic place. The rooms were unbelievable - spacious and clean and absolutely beautiful!!! Very nicely furnished and decorated. I would have loved to stay longer. 15 minute drive to the beautiful beaches in Otranto. The people are so friendly - and our hostess Dina was such a wonderful person! Thank you Dina for such great service. I really hated to leave this wonderful B&B and town!!!

We werden fantastische ontvangen met kopje thee en flesje wijn. Iedere morgen werd er op de kamer een ander verrassend Italiaans ontbijt geserveerd. Een heel mooi plekje met geweldige service!

De mooie authentieke inrichting van onze kamer. We kregen omdat het laagseizoen was ook veel meer dan gevraagd...ruime suite met keukenfaciliteiten ipv 2-persoonskamer.

Er kon niet betaald worden met visakaart. Volgens het hotelpersoneel was dit op de voucher vermeld, ik dacht voordien dat elke boeking via deze site reeds vooraf betaald werd met visakaart....
