The Gargano is one of the most attractive areas in the South of Italy, as the landscape alternates crystalline waters to the promontory overlooking the sea; the area also includes the beautiful Gargano National Park. The tour starts from the two historical centers of Lucera and Troia, visiting their historical and artistic work of art: the Cathedral of Troia and the Swabian-Angevin Fortress in Lucera. The tour then moves to Foggia and then continues towards Manfredonia. Then nest stage is the town of Monte Sant'Angelo, 800 metres above sea level, that will fascinate the visitor with its wonderful town center and with the famous Shrine of St. Michael Archangel. From this town is also possible to visit the Gargano National Park, which includes the Foresta Umbra. The journey continues towards the coastline, among green fields and cliffs overlooking the sea, with the visit of the towns of Mattinata, Pugnochiuso, Vieste, Peschici and Rodi Garganico. From Rodi it possible to visit the Lesina and Varano lakes, or take a ferry that will take you to the paradise of the province of Foggia: the Tremiti Islands, an authentic jewel in the Adriatic Sea.
